February Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Henry Wild, our Employee of the Month

Henry is a Support Worker at Highdowns, a residential home in Cornwall. He was nominated for his work in organising an excursion to watch a football match at Plymouth Argyle.

Henry planned and actioned the very successful trip as part of a 2:1 team for a person we support. He has been part of this person’s support team since his transition, supporting him when others found his behaviours a significant challenge.

Not only was this an achievement for Henry, but he has also empowered other members of the team to challenge themselves. They are seeing the personal rewards it brings as well as the benefit to the people we support. Future activities are planned, with Henry at the forefront detailing which activities to partake in next with the say-so of the people we support.

Henry says: “I love my job, although being with JE doesn’t feel like work. I hope what JE and myself have achieved so far is just the start. May he overcome many more challenges and obstacles in his life and I hope to continue to be by his side when he does so. Thank you for the award, I will strive to see it again in future.”

Keep up the great work Henry!
