Celebrating Ty Golff’s Excellent Care Inspectorate Wales Rating
We’re incredibly proud of our dedicated team at Ty Golff House in Flintshire, Wales, whose hard work and commitment have been recognised with a Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) ‘Excellent’ rating across all areas in their first inspection.
Ty Golff is one of our residential homes, providing supportive independent living for people with learning disabilities, autism and other neurodivergent conditions. The home opened in January 2025 and is a warm and welcoming place, where people supported and their families are actively involved in every step of person-centred planning.
Registered Manager Matthew Thomas shared, “To receive the highest possible outcome during such a significant period of change and development is something I could not be prouder of. This recognition represents the compassion, consistency, resilience, and dedication shown every single day by an incredible team who genuinely care about the people we support. I want to personally thank every team member for the commitment, professionalism, and heart they bring into the home each day.”

Care and support at Ty Golff are well coordinated, responsive and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes. The skilled and consistent team, alongside clear guidance and strong oversight, ensures people are supported to live safely, maintain their wellbeing, and experience a high quality of life.
Environment
- The home is well maintained throughout, with appropriate facilities and equipment in place to meet the assessed needs of individuals
- The environment is clean, comfortable and homely, contributing to a settled and positive atmosphere
- Communal areas within the home are well organised and support both social interaction and individual choice
- Environmental adaptations across the service are carefully considered to balance safety with promoting independence
Overall, the environment at Ty Golff is thoughtfully designed, well maintained and highly personalised. It provides safe, suitable and comfortable surroundings that support individuals’ wellbeing, independence and daily living, contributing to excellent outcomes and a high quality of life.
