Unforgettable night out helps Tye build confidence and new friendships 

Tye attended a Fuse Party organised by Norfolk-based charity BUILD, which provides inclusive social opportunities for people with sensory, physical or learning disabilities. The events help people connect with others, build confidence and enjoy meaningful experiences. 

Knowing how much Tye was looking forward to meeting new people and enjoying a night on the town, Registered Home Manager Lucy Harris helped him find the perfect event. 

To make the evening even more special, Tye started the night with a trip to Five Guys, where he enjoyed a burger, fries and a milkshake before heading to The Waterfront in Norwich for the party. 

On arrival, a queue of excited partygoers set the tone for a busy and enjoyable evening. While waiting to enter, Tye and his support team took the opportunity to capture some selfies and share in the excitement of the event. 

Once inside, Tye fully embraced the atmosphere, spending the evening dancing, socialising and meeting new people. Despite the ongoing heatwave, a welcome break in the venue’s air-conditioned space helped everyone cool down before returning to the dancefloor to continue the celebrations. 

Reflecting on the experience, Tye said: 

“I had a great night, and I can’t wait to go again and make new friends.” 

The evening provided a fantastic opportunity for Tye to enjoy greater independence, develop social connections and create lasting memories in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. 

BUILD’s Fuse Parties have become a popular fixture in Norfolk’s social calendar, bringing people together through music, entertainment and community spirit. Following the success of this latest event, Tye is already looking forward to attending the next party.
