Arundel House Rated ‘Good’ Across All Areas by CQC

We’re proud to announce that Arundel House, our residential care home in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex, has been rated ‘Good’ in all five inspection areas following a full inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in May 2025.

The inspection report highlights the high standard of support delivered at Arundel House, recognising a safe, responsive, and person-centred approach to care — underpinned by strong leadership and a positive team culture.

Arundel House provides care and support for people with a learning disability, autistic people, and individuals with physical disabilities. Inspectors noted that people are supported to have maximum choice and control in their lives, and praised the home as clean, safe, well-managed, and inclusive.

One person supported at the service shared:

“I am really happy living here. Everyone is very kind and caring.”

A relative added:

“I’m eternally grateful for how well the staff understand my family member. Hand on heart, I would both recommend and commend this care home.”

The CQC commended the home for:

  • High-quality, individualised support
  • A culture of openness that helps people feel safe
  • Strong risk management processes
  • Enabling people to live safe, confident, and empowered lives

Zak Houlahan, CEO of Achieve together, said:

“This is a fantastic result and one we’re extremely proud of. It reflects the dedication of the Arundel House team and the trust shown by the people we support and their families. Overcoming past challenges is never easy — thank you to everyone involved for their commitment and belief in what’s possible.”

Jane Neil, Head of Area Operations, added:

“This result reflects more than just a moment — it’s the outcome of a strong, values-led culture built over time through trust, teamwork, and ambition.”

Samantha, Registered Manager at Arundel House, said:

“We’re incredibly proud of this outcome. It reflects the consistency, care, and collaboration that go into everything we do — every day, not just for inspections. This was a true team effort, and we’re so grateful for the support across Achieve together.”

This achievement is a testament to what’s possible when people are empowered, supported, and believed in. Congratulations to everyone involved!
