Achieve together’s residential home in Thornton Heath rated ‘Good’ by CQC following exceptional improvement
Achieve together’s residential home on Beulah Road in Thornton Heath has been awarded a ‘Good’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), marking an exceptional improvement from its previous ‘requires improvement’ rating.
In its latest inspection report, the CQC highlighted significant progress across a number of areas, including safeguarding, staff training, governance and risk management. Inspectors noted that the service has developed a strong learning culture, with incidents thoroughly investigated and care delivered in line with the latest evidence and good practice.
The positive impact of these improvements is reflected in feedback from people connected to the service. One person supported at Beulah Road said:
“I really like my key worker who knows what I like and how to look after me. I do like living here.”
A healthcare professional added:
“Team members at Beulah Road know how to look after people supported and meet their needs while keeping them safe.”
The CQC also recognised several key strengths of the service, including:
- People supported are treated with kindness and compassion
- Safety is prioritised throughout the home
- Team members are skilled, experienced and well trained
- The atmosphere in the home is relaxed and calm
- The registered manager is knowledgeable, supportive and works closely with the local community
