Achieve together’s residential home in Burnham-on-Sea achieves ‘Good’ CQC rating

Congratulations to Apple Tree House on it’s CQC Inspection outcome.

Achieve together is proud to announce that Apple Tree House in Burnham-on-Sea has been rated ‘Good’ in all five inspection areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following its latest full inspection in November 2025.

The CQC highlighted that people we support are treated with kindness and compassion, and described the service’s culture as open, inclusive, empowering and truly person-centred.

As part of the inspection, the CQC spoke with families of people we support, whose feedback reinforced these findings. One relative said:

“My relative is absolutely settled and happy there. When we see them, they are always relaxed.”

A healthcare professional also commented on the care provided, saying:

“Although non-verbal, their body language seemed content, and they were vocalising happily.”

The CQC recognised several key strengths of the service, including:

  • Team members interact positively with people we support
  • Team members are kind, caring and support people to be as independent as possible
  • Care plans are well structured and tailored to individual needs
  • Team members are knowledgeable and receive regular training
  • The management team is visible, supportive and engaged with both the team and people we support

Zoe Armstrong, Chief Care and Quality Officer at Achieve together, said:

“Turning a ‘requires improvement’ rating into an overall ‘Good’ outcome requires focus, accountability and commitment. The team at Apple Tree House has risen to this challenge, providing a safe, respectful and dignified home for the people we support.”

Emily Webb, Area Support Manager, added:

“A strong team approach and a clear focus on quality of life have led to Apple Tree House being rated ‘Good’ in all areas. The service is safe, well managed and has a positive, supportive atmosphere. Thank you to the team for their dedication and hard work.”

Daniel Rugman-Gerebenes, Registered Home Manager, concluded:

“I am really pleased to have achieved this result. This reflects fantastically on my team, but more importantly it means that people we support are happy, relaxed and well cared for. They are our priority every single day – thank you to everyone involved.”
