Achieve together’s family webinar takes place every two months via Zoom, bringing families and team members together to stay up to date with what’s happening across the organisation and to hear from specialist areas that can enhance the support of their loved ones.

Our third webinar took place last week, hosted by one of our family members alongside Michael Fullerton, Director of Wellbeing and Collaboration at Achieve together.

This session featured a muchwelcomed whistlestop tour of the welfare benefits system, exploring the challenges that families and the people we support may face, as well as upcoming changes that could affect them.

Future webinars will look at topics such as how the people we support can manage bank accounts, and how the training our team members receive translates into day to day care.

The Achieve together Family Charter was also on the agenda. Created by a small group of families from our Family Quality and Consultation Group, the charter outlines what families can expect from the organisation. It is due to be launched this spring.

We also issued a call for families to join the Family Quality and Consultation Group, which offers opportunities to get involved in organisational policies, support events, and contribute to shaping the future of our services.

The next Webinar takes place in March. If you would like to find out more please contact Michael.fullerton@achievetogether.co.uk
