Achieve together named one of the UK’s Best Employers by the Financial Times for the second consecutive year
Celebrating a culture of support, development, empowerment and inclusion
Achieve together is delighted to be recognised as one of the UK’s top 500 employers in the Financial Times Best Employers 2026 list, for the second consecutive year.
This recognition highlights our commitment to creating a workplace where every team member feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
The Financial Times Best Employers list, compiled in collaboration with Statista, is based on independent employee feedback from organisations across the country. The survey explores key areas such as workplace culture, career progression, pay, and wellbeing.
Achieve together’s inclusion reflects the passion and dedication of our 6,500 strong team, who go above and beyond every day to support people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs to live happy, healthy, and meaningful lives.

Zak Houlahan, Chief Executive Officer at Achieve together, said:
“We are incredibly proud to be recognised by the Financial Times as one of the UK’s best employers, for the second year in a row. This recognition comes as we step into our 30th anniversary year and follows an amazing year of results and achievements. Growth and change are happening both organisationally and personally for our community. Our Good to Grow phase has commenced and we know the key targets we need to hit to create the right avenues for continued success.”
Achieve together has long championed engagement, inclusion, career development, and wellbeing initiatives. Our investment in our rewarding Career Adventures framework ensures that team members have clear opportunities to grow. During 2025 we invested £1 million into increased pay for Home Managers and introduced a minimum hourly rate above the national living wage for support workers. Life assurance is given to all contracted team members and all team members have access to ‘myRewards’ which includes ‘stream’, our online financial partner providing financial wellbeing support and flexibility.
Lisa Cole, Chief People Officer at Achieve together, said:
“I was delighted when we received this acknowledgement last year, but to have made it onto this list for the second time is phenomenal. This list is created out of independent research, which means people who know us, work for us or work with us speak highly of us. At our leaders conference last year I made a plea to all to be positive role models, have honest conversations, and create engaged high performing teams. They have done this and the result is that we are recognised as one of the top employers in the UK.”
Our training events are well attended, we have 505 apprentices and our team members have regular supervision time with their line managers, which is all contributing to team member retention and attraction.
By creating an environment where team members feel valued and supported, we are also providing the highest quality specialist support. We are excited about the future and remain committed to driving positive change across the sector.
