Manager conferences explore what Good to Grow means for us all
Over the last few weeks, Home and Service Managers from across Achieve together came together for our Good to Grow Manager Conferences. Held across each region, the conferences provided an opportunity to connect, share ideas and focus on what helps us create great homes where people can thrive.
Together, we explored our vision, leadership, quality, occupancy, co-production and the role we all play in delivering excellent support.
At the heart of every conference was a simple but important message: great homes are built through strong leadership, clear standards and team members working together to achieve the best outcomes for people we support.
The key themes that emerged throughout were:
- Visibly felt leadership
- A culture of consistency
- Moving from presence to assurance
- Co-production and listening to lived experience
- One Achieve together – working together to achieve more
A key focus throughout the conferences was the Achieve together Standard. Made up of 10 statements, it sets out what great looks like across our homes. It provides a shared benchmark for the quality of support we deliver, the environments we create and, most importantly, the experiences and outcomes of the people we support.
We also heard directly from people we support in each region. Their stories gave valuable insight into their lived experiences and showed the difference that high-quality support, delivered consistently, can make. They brought the Achieve together Standard to life, highlighting how the right support can help people achieve their goals and live happy, healthy and meaningful lives.
The conferences also reinforced that leadership exists at every level of our organisation. While Home and Service Managers play an important role in setting direction and creating the right culture, every team member contributes to making that culture a reality.
By working together, learning from one another and keeping people we support at the centre of everything we do, we can continue to create great homes, strong teams and positive outcomes.
