This 24-hour, adapted, supported living home in Croydon, London, supports adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and mental health needs.

The team have wide experience of supporting people who have high levels of vulnerability, enabling them to become more independent in their everyday lives. People’s goals and ambitions are achieved with support from the team by using positive risk-taking and setting achievable milestones.

Our team works with each person, enabling them to make decisions and enjoy a smooth transition from residential to supported living, positively enabling and encouraging them to have confidence in making choices and furthering their daily living skills.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place

The home is a five-bedroom semi-detached property in Croydon. It is described as having a ‘family feel’. The home is set over three floors comprising of a bathroom, shower room, and communal areas for socialising, including a lounge and kitchen/dining area. All rooms are decorated to people’s personal preferences to give them a homely feel.

In the conservatory, overlooking the garden, a lot of activities take place in the summer.

The home is close to local amenities such as shops, restaurants, pubs, and parks. There are excellent transport links into central London and Croydon so people can easily go on trips out.

Lifestyle

The team host a variety of activities such as exercise, dancing, bowling as well as holidays. People regularly attend day services and college and are participant members of their local community.

People living here have enjoyed trips to the Isle of Wight in self-catered accommodation. Highlights of the trip included visits to the Dancing Waterfalls, Garlic Farm, a zoo, the seaside, and a wine vineyard.

The team supports with budgeting, weekly planning, daily living skills, including meal preparation, cooking and domestic skills. Road safety awareness keeps people safe, and the teams support programs enable greater independence in the community (with planned risk management). People also participate in weekly health and safety, fire, and first aid checks, as well as nightly security checks and keeping safe awareness.
