Sophie is calm and knowledgeable and always puts the people she supports at the heart of her everyday work. During the pandemic she has often stepped in at short notice, working long hours and ensuring everyone is kept up to date.
Sophie has said she enjoys the “spirit” and “joy” within the team and the people she supports, and despite the difficulties faced with the pandemic has worked tirelessly to ensure good practice. Sophie said:
“I am most proud of the close team I have supporting me, we all tried our best, organising indoor activities during Covid and keeping routines to normal. I couldn’t have done the job I did without my team behind me, nor without the people I support, because they helped out a lot too!”
Sophie’s energy and positivity, despite the challenges encountered has been recognised by many of the families of those she supports.
Sophie really enjoyed the Heroes Awards event and said:
“The experience of the awards was a one in a life time opportunity. It gave me the chance to meet new people within the company, share ideas and experiences. The venue was incredible and truly felt like a mini getaway! I can’t thank everyone enough for helping me get this far and seeing potential in a young woman like myself!”
