Michael Fullerton, Director of Health & Wellbeing says: “The Roadshows have been really interactive, so that people can have fun together, starting with an appearance by Captain Co-production, and spinning the ‘Wheel of Engagement’. People really enjoyed the opportunity to share their personal achievements and dreams, based on the Wheel of Engagement. Stands allowed people during the breaks to look at and feel many of the resources that are available in Achieve together, to support people to have a good life – these included Health Promotion, Sexual Wellbeing, Inclusive Communication, Hobbies & Interests, Employment, Coproduction”.
He added: “Breakout sessions during the day allow people to experience interactive sessions focused on some of the Wheel of Engagement themes, including Daily Living Skills (Active Support) – doing your washing!; Mental & Spiritual Wellbeing – Mindfulness & Qigong; Intensive Interaction – Sensory Stories; Friendships – Making & Keeping Friends.”
