Cwm Hyfryd Celebrates ‘Excellent’ CIW Rating

We are proud to announce that Cwm Hyfryd, our residential home in Blackwood, Wales, has achieved an ‘Excellent’ rating in three out of four areas, and a ‘Good’ in the remaining category following an inspection by the Care Inspectorate Wales.

 

The CIW commended the service for delivering high-quality, compassionate, and person-centred support, noting that people supported at Cwm Hyfryd experience excellent well-being. 

A team member praised the leadership at the home, saying: 

“They are very professional. The Manager is the best I’ve ever had; they always have time for you.”

Highlights from the CIW Report include: 

  • People are supported to be as well and healthy as possible. 
  • Individuals are safeguarded from abuse and neglect. 
  • People enjoy music, sensory experiences, quiet spaces, and access to outdoor areas. 
  • Individuals are actively involved in reviewing their personal support plans. 
  • The manager is highly experienced and skilled in supporting people with complex needs. 
  • Achieve together shows a strong commitment to sharing information with the relevant authorities.
