Often, when supporting people with learning disabilities and / or autism, professionals and support teams focus on people’s disabilities and things which people cannot do. We must remember that every person is good at something – a skill, a talent or a strength of character. People must be empowered in their strengths and talents and encouraged to use their strengths and talents in a meaningful way to them and the society at large.
