We’re investing in our people – and delivering meaningful pay progress

We’re making a major investment in our workforce with a new £12.30 base rate for Support Workers in England, over £1 million invested in manager pay, and real progress on gender equity.

At Achieve together, our people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to share some important changes that reflect the value we place on every member of our team.

From April 2025, Support Workers in England will receive a new starting hourly rate of £12.30 – above the National Living Wage – with clear, structured opportunities to increase their earnings through our Career Adventures Framework.

We’re also investing in our leadership. We’ve committed more than £1 million to enhancing manager pay bands across our organisation. This step recognises the dedication and leadership of our managers, who support teams and champion great outcomes every day.

And we’re continuing to deliver on our inclusion ambitions. As of April 2024, our mean gender pay gap is just 0.8%, down from 1.4% in 2023 and 2.1% in 2022. It’s a milestone we’re proud of – and one that we’ll keep building on.

These investments form part of our wider People Plan, focused on: Reward and recognition, retention and progression, inclusion and equality, wellbeing and professional development.

In Wales, we continue to pay the Real Living Wage, supported by local government funding – and we’re working to create greater parity across the whole of our organisation.

Alongside pay, our teams benefit from: Wagestream, financial wellbeing tools, funded apprenticeships and qualifications, wellbeing and retail discount platforms, and tailored development support from day one.

We’re on a journey to ensure every team member at Achieve together is supported, empowered, and recognised – not just with words, but with action.
