Bianca’s impact as a manager means her team are motivated to develop and learn each day. When asked to provide a picture for this post, Bianca sent back a photo of the whole support team saying: “In all honesty, I wouldn’t be able to complete my role without them and feel they also need the recognition.”
Regional Manager Rebecca Young, who nominated Bianca for the award, said: “Bianca took the lead on supporting a transition of a new gentleman into the home. The team have felt supported under her guidance to support this gentleman to settle into his new home.
She adds: “Bianca is always hands on with her support and leads by coaching and guiding her team to achieve. Her contribution to enabling the home to continue to succeed deserves recognition. She is a fantastic manager.”
Bianca said: “Receiving this award was a big shock and I am so grateful for it. I have spent a lot of years completing different roles within the company and after 9 years I felt it was time to take on a managerial role.
“This was a big step for me as supporting people has always been a huge passion of mine and the decision was made easier when the manager role became available here.
“The team and people we support are very much a big part of why this achievement has been made and I am so very thankful for all the hard work they put in. My motto is simple, work as a team, communicate effectively and have fun. When you have this, you can succeed in making a difference to the people we support which is ultimately what I feel I was made for.”
