Congratulations to both Alex, who manages five homes around Northampton, and Kat who manages Albion Road, for their Manager of the Month awards.
Alex joined the Alderwood Supported Living Services around 18 months ago. She has supported challenging new transitions as well as registering and overseeing new homes due to open soon. Complex needs and challenges that arose during some of these transitions have seen also Alex supporting her team members on the floor.
In just a few days, Alex assembled a team with the right training and experience for a person with high support needs in a lone service. In another highly-charged situation, she worked with hospital staff, social workers, family and legal teams for a person we support. “She has managed to stay strong, look towards the positives and motivate her team to be able to provide the best level of support which can be provided under such difficult circumstances,” says her nominator.
Always supportive
Kat is praised for supporting her team at Albion Road in ‘any way that she can possibly do’. She is a kind and caring leader, always making time for team members and people we support. Always professional, Kat is polite, welcoming and has a good word to say to and for everyone.
Recent successes include: supporting a person with complex needs transition into a new home; supporting someone in hospital; and decorating Albion Road. Her nominators said: “She shows dedication and commitment to the people we support,” and “I’m very proud to be part of her team.”
