I’m a Chartered Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development with over 25 years’ experience in the field of People / Human Resources. I’ve enjoyed and learnt so much working across a wide range of sectors and businesses, but all with the customer at the heart of what they do.
I believe every action, no matter how small, can make a difference and I am passionate about making a positive impact to our teams and people we support. I love to create people strategies aligned to business goals, that deliver an exceptional team member experience. I believe that combining great people, with an amazing culture, is key to providing the best possible care for people we support.
Achieve together has a unique opportunity to make real and meaningful difference to people’s lives, through its vision to provide the best specialist support, inspiring a generation who will enable people to live happy, healthy, and meaningful lives. I have been inspired by so many of the amazing team members and the extraordinary people we support that I’ve met, as well as the work of Unity and Campaign 4 Change. It is great to genuinely see our shared values of being brave; having fun; making things happen and valuing everyone, being lived every day by our teams across the organisation.
I feel privileged to lead the People Team who have such an important responsibility to attract, develop, engage, and retain our amazing team members, working across all areas of the organisation and nurturing the team member experience from initial first interactions as a candidate all the way through to gathering exit feedback (and often re-employing previous team members returning).
Health and Wellbeing is important at Achieve together, not only for people we support but also for our team members, enabling them to be their very best. I became a qualified Mental Health First Aider in 2023. I wear hearing aids as I am hearing impaired and plan to learn British Sign Language within the next year.
