About this home

This is a specialist-supported living home in Carmarthenshire. We can support three adults who are deaf, deafblind or have hearing loss, and with additional complex needs such as learning or physical disabilities and mental ill-health.

Our housing-related support and domiciliary care empowers people to live independently, with support where and when they need it (including personal care) in a safe and relaxed environment. Our team is on-site 24 hours a day and talks with each person we support every day about what they plan to do and how they would like to be supported.

What we offer

This home is a fully wheelchair-accessible bungalow with three en-suite bedrooms that are fitted with specialist equipment so people can use them safely and independently.

There’s a bright and airy living room with a TV and DVD player and a spacious kitchen and dining area. There is also a laundry room and garden.

This home is in Tumble, a small village near Cross Hands in South West Wales. Tumble provides a lovely sense of community in a rural area, but it’s also close to lively town centres like Llanelli, Swansea and Carmarthen with their great shopping and leisure opportunities – as well as a thriving deaf community.

Lifestyle

Whether a person wants to make healthy lifestyle choices, needs support with dealing with housing issues, or helps with finding a place at college, a volunteering opportunity or a job, we can support them.

Everything they want to achieve is detailed in their personal support plan, including their preferred way of communicating. People have been empowered to make friends, join deaf clubs, save money to visit New Zealand and even meet their TV heroes.

We can support a person to buy their own vehicle if they receive a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or are eligible for the Motability Scheme. Alternatively, our team can be insured to drive a person’s Motability car for them so they can get around.
