What we offer

Mackintosh Place is a five-bed mid-terrace property in Cardiff. Individuals have their own rooms on either the ground floor or first floor and the shared use of the communal lounge, kitchen/diner on the ground floor.

There is a self-contained garden for individuals to enjoy, where many leisure activities take place, especially during summer.

Mackintosh Place is situated close to all the local amenities, grocery shops, and banks and benefits from fantastic public transport links. Everything is on the doorstep: local colleges, libraries, leisure centres and medical facilities.

Lifestyle

People living at Mackintosh Place enjoy the quiet and peaceful environment that the home has to offer. Everybody interacts well here. Once a week, everyone comes together to help prepare a meal and enjoy each other’s company at the dinner table. Although everyone gets on well here, the guys living here do enjoy their own time and space, often returning to their rooms to enjoy their interests and hobbies, such as watching TV and listening to music. The home is predominantly a quiet environment but can get noisy on rare occasions.

Activities at Mackintosh Place are centred around increasing the independence of the individual and becoming more integrated within the local community, with activities such as shopping, going to local restaurants and day trips to local attractions.

Leisure activities also take place within the home, such as outdoor activities, arts and crafts and music sessions.

People are also given the option of practical courses such as cooking and budgeting, as well as being supported in obtaining any education and/or employment at the local colleges.
