What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Newton House is a spacious residential home with seven en-suite bedrooms, offering a comfortable and supportive environment for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum conditions. The home features large communal areas, including a well-equipped kitchen where people supported receive one-to-one support to cook their own meals, as well as a dining room, conservatory/lounge, and a smaller lounge for more private socialising.
The extensive garden at Newton House includes a sensory room/activity room, a large trampoline, paved areas, and a developing vegetable patch where people supported can engage in gardening. This outdoor space is designed to encourage participation in various activities and provide a tranquil setting for relaxation.
Located between Newbury and Thatcham, Newton House is conveniently close to shops, restaurants, theatres, and recreational facilities. The nearby canal and nature trail offer opportunities for scenic walks, while local attractions like Hungerford Common and Hillview Farm provide additional leisure activities. The property is gated with ample parking, ensuring both security and convenience for people supported and visitors.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
At Newton House, people supported are encouraged to participate in activities that enhance their independence and confidence. Each person has a tailored plan, including cooking, creative arts, sensory activities, and games. People supported also enjoy outings such as local walks, picnics, shopping, and horse riding. The home hosts special events like charity coffee mornings and tea parties.
Newton House promotes a fun, fulfilling lifestyle, with each people supported shaping their routine to suit their preferences. Whether enjoying outdoor activities like park walks and swimming or engaging in indoor hobbies like baking and arts and crafts, residents are supported to live as independently and enjoyably as possible. People have recently enjoyed new experiences, such as involvement with a family wedding, and being supported to understand what happens on the wedding day. Over a twelve month period, this involved shopping trips for outfits, watching wedding ceremonies and rehearsing what to do which all contributed to a very special family occasion.
