The Domiciliary Care agency is located in Cardiff and is a specialist agency specifically registered to support individuals with learning difficulties, mental health needs, and autism spectrum conditions that reside in 24 hour Supported Living Schemes in the city of Cardiff. We are able to support individuals in a variety of settings and can assist with sourcing accommodation. We will develop a package of care and support based on an individual’s assessed needs. By managing an individual’s risk we ensure that they achieve as much independence as possible.

The agency has been registered since 2006 and since it has been established has built up a portfolio of services in the Cardiff area, specifically working with a housing association to provide supported housing for service users that require 24 hour support in their own specialist accommodation. We also provide an outreach service for individuals who move on into their own accommodation, and the hours will vary depending upon the identified needs of the individual.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place to call home

We have a range of different supported living services throughout Cardiff to suit individual needs, from smaller properties to larger ones. Staff will be available 24 hours a day including waking night staff when required.

All services are ideally located near to community to facilities so people can easily engage with the wider community. Cardiff has multiple shops, restaurants, pubs, cinemas and other amenities for people to utilise if they wish. There are also great transport links such as train stations and buses so travel into surrounding areas is easy.

We are able to offer direct support accessing independent accommodation by supporting individuals to:

Lifestyle

Across all our supported living services individuals are supported to lead active lives and take part in a variety of activities both within the community and at the services themselves. These activities aim to increase social and communication skills as well as give each person more confidence and independence. Examples of leisure activities that individuals may want to take part in include swimming, day centre activities, bowling, gardening, cinema and theatre trips, music sessions, day trips and holidays to name a few.

People will also be supported in learning life skills, such as meal preparation, budgeting, self care and cooking so they can become more self-sufficient with a view of moving on to more independent living. People will also be supported in identifying and maintaining any education, paid work and/or volunteering they wish to.
