About the home

Clinton Lodge is a residential home supporting adults with autism spectrum conditions, acquired brain injury, mental health needs, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), restricted mobility, emotional needs and epilepsy.

The home provides a person-centred planning approach tailored to the people we support needs helping them become as independent as possible. Team members support people in identifying and maintaining social and leisure activities, educational activities and voluntary work. People are assisted in establishing community links, promoting self-advocacy or supporting access to advocacy services. We provide continuity and consistency of support by experienced support workers chosen with the individual’s involvement.

What we offer

The home has five bedrooms, all of which have en-suite facilities and are accessible by a lift. There are communal areas for individuals to socialise in, including a kitchen, dining area and lounge. There is also a large garden, which is used regularly for activities within the home, such as growing our own veggies, as well as events such as summer barbeques. From the garden we have access to outside building which has been converted to sensory/arts/crafts room.

Clinton Lodge is a wonderful home situated approximately 200 yards from Redruth Town Centre, where a range of community facilities such as shops, pubs, restaurants, and local parks can be accessed. The home also has their own wheelchair accessible vehicle allowing for day trips.

Lifestyle

At Clinton, people are supported with participating in a range of activities, including budget planning and support with finances, along with meal planning, preparation and shopping, and household tasks, including laundry and housework.

An important part of life at Clinton Lodge is ensuring that there are lots to do. We organise all sorts of activities and encourage people we support to become active and valued participants whilst respecting the individual’s choices and independence.

Activities we organise in-house include painting, arts and crafts workshops and music workshops, to name a few. People can also take part in activities outside of the home, including beach trips and holidays, Ten Pin bowling, swimming, horse riding, rock climbing, trampolining, art sessions and various volunteering projects.

Two individuals recently attended a 5k run for charity and completed the race, raising £155. This was a great achievement and has inspired people in the service to do more runs in the future.
