Bales Court is a 24-hour, adapted supported living service supporting older people aged 40+ with moderate to severe learning disabilities and additional health and mobility needs.
The service has experience in supporting individuals transition from long-stay hospital and residential environments into supported living and has worked closely with families and existing support networks in doing so. The service has experience in supporting a range of health needs, including Diabetes, Epilepsy, Dementia, and continence support.
Bales Court has recently been commended by social services, health professionals and family for the good work in supporting a gentleman who had disengaged from support in his previous placement, refused medical treatment and was self-neglecting as a result of his Dementia and learning disabilities. Through intensive 1:1 work and the introduction of consistent routine, the individual is sleeping better, is engaging in the daytime activity and accepting support with personal care and medical treatment.Download Brochure
