This Valentine’s Day, love was in the air throughout our Achieve together services. Here are some heartwarming stories from around the country!
Gillian and Richard from Hersham Gardens
Firstly, we would like to say a huge congratulations to Gillian and Richard from Hersham Gardens, who got engaged this week. Here you can see them sporting matching smiles and posing with the ring. We wish them a lifetime of happiness.
CJ and Poppy from the Ridgeway
On Valentines Day, CJ, one of the people we support, took his girlfriend Poppy on a lovely Valentine’s date. He met Poppy at college in November and have been going from strength to strength ever since. On Valentine’s Day, they met up for a romantic lunch date and a few games of bowling. CJ even bought Poppy a beautiful Valentine’s Day gift!
Honeywood and Meesons Lodge’s Valentine’s Day Competition
Meeson’s Lodge and Honeywood held their annual ‘Valentine’s Heart’ competition where the people we support got to design and make their own Valentine’s Heart. They had a huge variety of arts and crafts materials to choose from and went wild with the glitter and stickers! The competition was then judged by Dean Gorringe, the Regional Manager for Meesons and Honeywood. There was some really stiff competition, but the end results were:
3rd Place: Marion
2nd Place: Thomas
1st Place: Georgia, with a beautiful purple heart. She also won a gorgeous purple lava lamp as her prize, which she said she couldn’t wait to put up in her room!
Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone <3
