About this home

Specialist supported living home for adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, behaviours that may challenge and complex health needs.

Ty Nant is a specialist-supported living service where people are supported to develop individualised person-centred plans and health action plans that promote increased choice, control over their lives and independence. Our experienced team works in partnership with families, carers, advocates and public service professionals to ensure that the support provided is proactive and appropriate.

Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) is also used to deliver a range of evidence-based support to increase quality of life and reduce the occurrence, severity or impact of behaviours that challenge. Qualified PBS Mentors work alongside the people we support, team members and other stakeholders.

What we offer

Ty Nant provides a spacious environment for six adults. Each individual has an independent flat with an en-suite bathroom, a kitchen and a plan lounge and bedroom.

There is also plenty of outdoor space for social events and leisure activities.

Ty Nant is a detached property in the heart of a large residential area situated on the outskirts of Newport, with close links to the M4 motorway.

Lifestyle

People are supported to access the local community to facilitate social, communication and life skills development with the aim of ultimately increasing independence. They are encouraged to develop independent living skills and access resources external to their home, which may include college placements, work experience or paid work placements, shopping, going to restaurants or taking driving lessons.

Leisure activities that individuals enjoy include swimming, cinema trips, day centre activities, parties, gardening and cooking, to name a few.
