Telegraph Road is a residential home supporting four adults with learning disabilities and autism spectrum conditions and behaviours that may challenge.

The home has a strong, caring team members team, most of whom have all worked with the people living in this home for a long time and have got to know them all well. This is essential in understanding their needs and wishes and, therefore, providing a person-centred service. The team members team support people to take part in meaningful activities that enrich their lives and promote independence.

What we offer

Telegraph Road is a homely four-bed home. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, and there is a communal kitchen/dining area and a large lounge and small lounge/quiet room. There is also a spacious patio area with seats and tables where people can socialise if they wish.

The home benefits from a separate garden self-contained annexe flat, which boasts underfloor heating.

Telegraph Road is located in the West End near Southampton. Local community facilities are a five to ten-minute walk away and include a supermarket, chemist, various takeaways, a pub, a library and two churches. We also have a bus service at the end of the road that runs to Southampton.

Lifestyle

Individuals at Telegraph Road are supported to lead active lives and take part in activities both in the service and in the wider community to build on social and independence skills. These activities include sensory rooms, meals out, swimming, bowling, trips to the cinema, attending church day services and more.

People will also be supported to build on independent living skills such as cooking, meal preparation and budgeting, as well as obtaining any employment and/or volunteering placements.
