About this home

Tamarisk House is a specialist residential home for adults with moderate learning disabilities, mobility difficulties, communication and sensory impairments, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge and epilepsy. Individuals are supported to develop person-centred plans and health action plans that promote increased choice, control over their lives and independence.

Individuals are supported to develop individually tailored Health Action Plans which focus on supporting people to manage their healthcare needs and increase their independence.

What we offer

Tamarisk House is a spacious bungalow with five en-suite bedrooms as well as a shared bathroom. There are multiple communal areas, including a living room, large kitchen and dining room, conservatory and a garden, which is perfect for social events and activities.

Tamarisk House is a warm and homely bungalow situated in a rural location five miles from central Norwich. The town centre offers access to a wide range of local community facilities, including shops, pubs, restaurants, libraries and colleges. Norwich has excellent train and bus links to surrounding areas.

Lifestyle

Tamarisk House supports people to plan their own activity timetables and take part in activities that develop social, communication and life skills. These range from support in daily life skills such as shopping, gardening and household tasks through to college placements, attending local day centres, voluntary and paid work experience and other social and leisure activities in the community.
