What we offer

This home provides a spacious environment for five adults. Four bedrooms are located on the first floor and share a bathroom and shower room. There is one annexe on the ground floor. All of the bedrooms are large, and there is a spacious communal lounge/dining area on the ground floor with access to a fitted kitchen and a garden at the side of the property.

This home is situated in the village of Alltwen, Pontardawe, which is seven miles north of Swansea and 4 miles from the M4. It has good road links to nearby Neath, Gower, Llanelli, and Carmarthen, and the Brecon Beacons National Park is close by. The home has good rail and bus links, which link up to the Welsh Valleys. Swansea has a big shopping centre, and Pontardawe is a bustling little town with all amenities.

Lifestyle

Individuals at this home are supported to participate in activities that increase independence.

The team will support people in identifying and maintaining any voluntary work, education and/or paid work, as well as being assisted in daily life skills such as cooking, budgeting and taking public transport.

People also take part in a variety of leisure activities both in the service and in the community. This includes cinema trips, meals out at restaurants, bowling, swimming, arts and crafts, picnics and music classes, to name a few. There are also a lot of day trips that go on at the service, including trips to the coast and nearby towns.
