About this home

Magnolia Cottage is a specialist residential home for adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, behaviour that may challenge, epilepsy, and communication and sensory impairments.

People are supported to develop person-centred support plans that promote increased choice, control over their lives and independence. They are also supported to develop individually tailored health action plans which focus on increasing independence and developing communication, social and life skills.

What we offer

Magnolia Cottage is a warm, homely and fully adapted bungalow comprised of four bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities. Communal areas include a lounge, kitchen, dining room, conservatory and garden. People are encouraged to decorate their rooms how they want in order to reduce anxiety.

Magnolia Cottage is set in a rural village approximately five miles from the city centre and only four miles from the beautiful Norfolk Broads with all its attractions. It is less than a 30-minute drive to the coast and beaches of East Anglia, with Great Yarmouth 20 miles away.

Lifestyle

People at Magnolia Cottage participate in a wide variety of activities aimed at increasing independence. Some of these include swimming, days out, gardening, skills centre days and trips to the cinema.

Additionally, people are supported in going on any trips and holidays they wish. The home encourages people to be active contributing members of the community, supporting people with educational and/or work placements as well as volunteering placements.
