This supported living home for adults with learning disabilities, hearing impairments, emotional needs and/or autism spectrum conditions, in Lymington, provides a safe and accessible environment. The team working in this specialist d/Deaf home use British Sign Language (BSL), for most of them, it is their first language.

People receive person-centred active support so they are engaged in activities and relationships as an active participant. What we offer

This home is a large two-storey property with five bedrooms, each with a wet room. There’s a large living room, a dining room, conservatory, and an outside garden space ideal for socialising.

The home’s only a short drive to the town centre and train station and has excellent links to the local community. The close proximity to the coast means that trips out to the beach and the local shops are easily organised and enjoyed.

Lifestyle

People living here have the opportunity to take part in a range of different activities, such as gardening, arts and crafts club, pottery, visiting the local pubs and cycle trips. The New Forest area itself has many events throughout the year, such as the cake-baking competition at the Fete and the scarecrow-building competition.

People greatly benefit from the support, with one person progressing from using pictures to communicate to learning sign language and linking sentences together. This has greatly boosted their confidence levels.
