We offer a very person-centred approach tailored to each person supported, and the support team are specifically trained to support people with behaviour that may challenge others. Team members are always on-site and support people through choice and inclusion to develop greater independence, build upon existing life skills, improve communication and social skills. People are supported to take part in a wide range of activities that enrich their lives and build on new and existing skills.

What we offer

This home has recently been refurbished following consultation with those supported here. All four bedrooms have en-suite facilities, and there is a large garden where people enjoy pruning and growing vegetables. For those wishing to socialise, there are communal spaces available in the lounge and dining areas.

The home is conveniently based in central Plymouth and is a short walk to local attractions and the Plymouth railway.

Lifestyle

The team support people to participate in activities that help to increase their independence and build on skills. These include budgeting skills and weekly planning to facilitate a move to a more independent lifestyle, as well as daily living skills workshops such as cooking and domestic skills like washing and cleaning. People are also supported to participate in leisure activities both in their homes and in the wider community, including meals out, swimming, cinema trips, shopping, holidays and day trips.

In Plymouth city centre there are many shops, the Theatre Royal, cinemas, pubs and restaurants for individuals to enjoy and it is a great way to integrate themselves in the local community.
